Pinball

design

animation

In this project, I created a scene of a unique pinball-like scene with an underwater twist. The challenge was to design a pinball-like concept and animate everything from scratch without relying on any plugins, which meant solving creative problems using only native AE tools. In my concept, I combined the mechanics of a classic pinball game with the dynamic, fluid motion of an underwater world. I used a cannon-ball floating around in the scene which features playful details like bubbles, sea animals & sea plants, and marine-inspired obstacles. Working within these constraints pushed me to think critically about how to achieve smooth, engaging animations with limited resources. I focused on timing, transitions, and creating a sense of depth and movement. Designing the assets and every little animation, I had to make sure they all contributed and flowed together. This project allowed me to explore motion design in a fun and imaginative way, pushing my skills with After Effects, as it was my first ever project, and expanding my approach to storytelling.
